ACME Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of ACME! We are supported by a national pool of volunteers made up of midwives, midwifery education professionals, and members of the public ensuring that midwifery programs are evaluated by their peers. ACME volunteers play a critical role in the midwifery education accreditation process, setting policies and procedures, and establishing the strategic direction. And, we are always seeking dynamic people to be a part of it all.
ACME seeks to have diverse representation on all of its volunteer boards and encourages members of the Midwives of Color, CMs, Men, Veterans, LGBTQIA2S+, other historically underrepresented groups and individuals to apply. In addition, we like to diversify by location and also seek qualified applicants living in Western, Midwestern and rural areas to apply. ACME is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and volunteers.
There is no better place to get a chance to learn from colleagues, gain a broader understanding of the midwifery education environment, and contribute to continuous improvement in the midwifery education accreditation system. While there is no honorarium or other form of compensation, ACME provides reimbursement for travel related expenses including a meal per diem.
